Okinawa Zoo & Museum – Night Zoo

Located in Okinawa City, the Okinawa Zoo & Museum is an educational facility comprising an Animal Zone, where rare Okinawan creatures are kept and exhibited, and a Park Zone with grassy squares and water promenades. In preparation for the Night Zoo, we conducted lighting renovations. To realize the concept of the Tsunagarium, we installed Tsunagarium lights along the viewing paths to guide visitors. These lights serve two functions: as footlights and as guide lights, each illuminated in the respective colors of their area. We illuminated the animal paddocks with full-color lights, each color themed according to the habitat areas, thereby enhancing encounters with the animals and creating a sense of presence."
